“SWEETIE PIE,” MY VALENTINE’S JAM

Hi Sweetie pies, so Sunday is Valentine’s Day and I would like to share my Valentine’s jam with you SWEETIE PIE by Kofi Kinaata Produced by Kin Dee.

I think it’s been a while I heard this kind of romantic song that is not talking about “BANGING” a lady’s brains out but talking about how the mere physical appearance of a lady can ignite the sweet feeling of LOVE.

The song came out in January, 2016 and I always have it on repeat. I barely listen to any other song on my phone. That is how a good song is supposed to be. You love it so much you don’t want to turn it off.

The part where he sings in Ga is the part that does it for me (yeah I am 50% Ga). For someone who barely speaks Ga, I would say Kinaata tried.

To cut my long story I love the song and I dedicate it to all those that love me.
So therefore, if you hate me you are not part…lol just kidding love you even if you don’t love me.

Itz Albie! Happy Val’s Day Peeps. Click the link below to listen to Sweetie Pie.

IF YOU HATE YOUR JOB QUIT. IT IS NOT “BY FORCE”!

I don’t get some people ‘koraa’.
You spend a lot of money schooling to land a good job and you do. Even if you don’t, you find yourself one way or the other stuck with a particular physical activity in order to earn a wage or salary.

So, you know how receptionists are supposed to be the frontline access to a company?
And you meet this lady, to whom you are supposed talk, for direction to department you needed to go and if that is impossible take your message and later relay it to the person you wanted to see.
But seriously I just don’t get some of them at all.

You ask why all these crap?
We were distributing letters for my company, don’t worry I am not a messenger or marketer I was asked and I couldn’t say no.
Any who! We were distributing these letters and this particular lady whom we met (who I think don’t deserve to be called one) manners brought back memories of the kinds of receptionists I have encountered in my life time.

Oh gosh! The facial expression, nothing to write home about…she has frowned so much I think her face is stuck that way. She was so RUDE and MEAN.  The way she spoke to us, even the word BAD, doesn’t even cut it. As if the five minutes that we spent there was a going to end her life.
And this was not the first time we were there oh, so I know exactly what I am talking about.

Can you imagine, she left us at the front desk after she gave us this three line form that will take less than a minute to fill? We had to stand and wait for her to return.
That’s how come we ended up spending five minutes instead of just one minute.

She is so lucky I am not a horrible person. I would have mentioned company she worked for so that when she is fired (but in case you really want to know the company, send me an email: albielaks@gmail.comand I’ll tell you) she’d learn to cherish the next job she lands i.e. if she does with that STUPID attitude of hers.

I always say this; ‘if you hate your job quit but if you don’t then do it and do it well. She is not the only receptionist or front desk attendant (as they are sometimes called) that has behaved this way and I am sure most of you have experienced.

Well! Not all of them are mean and rude. This receptionist at Pens and Plastics Ghana limited (producers Bic products) whose name I have forgotten was so lovely. If any of you know her tell her what Albie thinks she is a beautiful person with a beautiful heart.

I repeat it again; IF YOU HATE YOUR JOB, QUIT! IT IS NOT ‘BY FORCE’!

Hey! This Albie’s Experience

Share yours and let’s get pissed or laugh about it together.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!

I can’t believe we are in the Christmas mood in the year 2012 the year I like to call “the year of Apocalyptic Prophesies.”

Did you know that the world was supposed to end in 2012?
Did it really end, or maybe it’s gonna end on December 31, 2012?
Well I don’t get why some people will think of the end time and go to sleep and dream of it and say the world is coming to an end. We have to be careful of these false prophets.

Whatever, Christmas is here and some are really enjoying it.
Me? not so much. A little under the weather but that is okay cos I know you guys are really enjoying it to the fullest cos u know, I am for fun and if I can’t have it, I am glad you guys are.

Hope this year was full of new experiences for you just as it was for moi and we are both ready to embrace 2013 with a fresh start and the beginning of new and wonderful things.

I pray that 2013 does not become another year of Apocalyptic Prophesies but year of bliss, a year where our politicians think of the people instead of their own selfish interests.

A year of good news and not that of murder, arsons, robbery among many bad news seen in the press this year

Hey, This is just Albie’s New Year’s Resolution for her readers and GH as a whole.
Share yours and MERRY CHRISTMAS and A HAPPY NEW YEAR.
Ho, ho, hoo!!!

Our Mothers, Our Pride!

Today is a day for celebrating the mothers in the world and even females in general because these days females who are not mothers are included in the celebration.

I remember when I was a kid, my mum goes to work and comes home really late when we were asleep and as motherly as she can be, knowing that we might not have eaten, gets us some rice and forces us to eat.
I remember chewing and sleeping at the same it was so painful.
Sometimes I wish she would just let me sleep but as a good mother she would never let me go to bed hungry.

I don't know how it is, but women are gifted with some sought of heart.
When they aren't mothers my dear they are 'so fly' and 'cool' but as soon as they have children, it's like they are drowned so much by the joy of it that nothing matters more than that.
when we start growing up, we change and they also have to change with us and sometimes we feel they hate us but one thing is for real, they will never hate us because you know what, nine months is not an easy task. Hmmm, not easy!

When we go through difficult times our mothers are such inspiration, well I don't know about yours but mine is.
she keeps me "on my toes" although we don't live together, I just have to think about her and the best decision comes to mind.

No matter who we are, or what we do, the whole world can choose to be for, or against us but our mothers will always be for us.

This is Albie's View, I know you have yours!

"Queen not Queen Mother"

Today I was in the office feeling very bored because whatever I had to do, I had to wait till 2pm to do it.
Then all of a sudden there was a heated argument behind me.

An argument about something which I thought was funny and irrelevant.

One of my bosses was saying "If you call her QUEEN MOTHER, what will you call her mother who gave birth to her?"

I found out that they were arguing that, as you know in Ghana we call our ‘QUEENS’, ‘QUEENMOTHER’.

Which is WRONG but that is how it has been for a long time and it has become a norm which will to be very hard to change.

And this boss of mine was arguing that we were fooling ourselves calling them that but we are supposed to call them ‘QUEEN’.
The other was also busily insisting that they are ‘QUEEN MOTHERS’

Someone else was also arguing that they call them that because they act as mothers to the people.

Well! Albie's stand is that, who cares what they are called?
Every woman is a Queen or Queen Mother in their own way.

Queen or Queen mother, they all go to say that every woman is very special.

This is Albie’s view, what is yours let’s share.

The Crazy Country We Live In!!!

Last week I was in an Accra Metropolitan Assembly convoy.
Charleeey the feeling dey be!

No traffic, everyone stops for you to pass, you drive on full speed and no police stops you to query you.
But whiles in the vehicle, I looked at the people outside and wondered how they were feeling and what was going through their minds.

Then I started wondering whether the feelings I was having at that moment:
Our politicians who ride in such convoys, do they ever feel what i felt?
Do they know that the people walking along those roads who pay them for working for them will never get to ride in such convoys ever and therefore deserve to be served well by them?

Hmm! That is why I do not want to be a politician because I can't sit and watch people be cheated.

Well, this is just Albie's Views.
What's yours?

Hmm, Valentine's Day!!!

Today is the day after Valentine's day.
Did you hear of the condom shortage in some parts of Accra?
I bet you some ladies are a day old pregnant, some guys have contracted gonorrhea and other scary sexually transmitted diseases. Hmm!

Was Your Val's Day all about sex or it was about having some quality time with your loved ones like your girlfriend, boyfriend and even your relatives?
Mine was definitely about spending quality time with my family, so I went home early from work.

Why do you wait till such day to tell your loved ones how much you love and care about them?
Why do you have to wait for a day that someone sitting somewhere had set aside for you to say, "I LOVE YOU" or "I CARE" to that special person in your life.

Make people you love feel good all the time and not only on Valentine's day because when Valentine's day comes and you do nothing for them, they will still say,
"I Had a Great Valentine's Day" because for them everyday is Valentine's Day.

Hey! This is Just Albie's View.
What do you Think?
